Basics > Resources
- There are three types of resources that are required to build buildings and units. Each plot of land on the map has a base hourly resource rate. The resource generation rate can be increased by building the appropriate resource buildings on their respective flags. Each building can additionally be upgraded to increase the resource generation rate. The 4 resources are food, iron, stone and wood.
- FOOD: to generate food you must build farms. Farms are built on the yellow flags. Increasing your food production allows for you to support more inhabitants. The food resource is comprised of the farms on all kingdoms. Food maxes out at and cannot go further than 2000 food. 1/20 FOOD would be mean that you are producing 20 FOOD/hr and can support a population that requires 20 FOOD/hr. The 1 means that you have your inhabitants are consuming 1 FOOD per hour. When you reach your max food, ie. 2000/2000 you must destroy units before you can build more units.
- IRON: Upgrading the mine will increase iron production. Mines are built on orange flags
- STONE: Upgrading quaries will increase stone production. Quarries are built on orange flags
- WOOD: Upgrading lumber camps will increase stone production. Lumbercamps are built on orange flags
Basics > First Steps
- To get started you should first familiarize yourself with the most basic functions of the game: resources, building and recruiting units.
- You should start by building resource producing buildings on the orange and yellow flags. Orange flags can be built on with mines, quarries and warehouses. Yellow flags can be built on with lumber camps, farms and warehouses. This will let you get your resource production started.
- At first you should focus on the main three resources: iron, stone and wood.
- Building a warehouse will let you store more of these resources.
- Farms are important and increase your food supply but are not needed right away.
- The red flags will let you build other available buildings such as barracks, stable, siege workshop, blacksmith and others you can find here.
- Start building your kingdom. As you build buildings you may also upgrade them to the next level. This will allow you to unlock more upgrades and buildings as well as units you can build.
- Try to continue to build and upgrade until your manor in the center of your kingdom turns into a castle. At this point start thinking about attacking some rebel kingdoms around you to loot more resources. You can read the attack guide here.
- Speed ups are a good way to build faster - they let you instantly finish building. Advisors also let you build more efficiently and faster. If you need resources you may buy them via the buy resources button.
- If you need help you may use the chat, message boards or browse our FAQ and help sections. Also, it might be good to team up with an alliance; check the chat and message boards to see if anyone is recruiting or send a friendly PM (private message).
